In 1985 The Mustard Seed Restaurant & Bar owned by the DiCarlo’s, opened it’s doors, establishing itself as an excellent restaurant and bar.  The restaurant continued to serve the greater Kansas City area for two decades.  Customers would come from all corners of the state to eat, drink and dance.  The Mustard Seed soon established itself as one of the best night clubs in the city.  The Mustard Seeds Mission was simple  “Bring great people together, serve them great food and drink and give them a place to dance and have the time of their life.

 

In November 2007 The Mustard Seed Restaurant reopened its doors as “DiCarlo’s Mexican-Americana Restaurant & Bar”.  Just as the original Mission statement says “Great People, Great Food and Great Fun”. 

 

Our food is created from scratch with only the highest quality-freshest ingredients. We combine large portions and great value to give you the original food and great taste from both our 1977 Mexican menu-DiCarlos and 1985 Mustard Seed menu at a reasonable price.

 

But we're not just about Mexican food. We are no ordinary restaurant.  Chose from our delicious and tasty seasoned “South of the Border” food to the Kansas City traditional tender juicy KC Strip grilled to perfection.  With great steaks chicken dishes, fish, salads and lots more, we can satisfy almost any appetite.

 

Come and enjoy our traditional country breakfast or for a Mexican flair, try our South of the Border selection, on Saturday and Sunday 8-12.  

 

Our normal business hours are:

Mon.-Thurs. 11am-10pm

Fri-Sun.  We are open until 11 pm for Dinner.
